Embattled rapper,Tekashi 6ix9ine who is due to be sentenced in January 2020 for his conviction on 9 counts of conspiracy, racketeering, trafficking in narcotics and illegal firearm possession could very much walk free after 'co-operating' with the feds.6ix9ine has come under a lot of heat from the hip hop community for giving up his friends after the authorities recently clamped down on the 9 Trey Blood gang as part of a five-year investigation of its activities.
A plea under seal obtained by the Consequence of Sound reads-
"The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York has agreed “not to prosecute the defendant for the crimes set forth in Counts One through Nine” along with “additional crimes that the defendant has told the government about.”
The charges against the rapper carry a minimum of 47 years in prison and a maximum of life imprisonment and though some leniency was expected because of 6ix9ine's 'snitchery',only a handful thought he would get off the hook totally.
If that happens, the 'Gumo' rapper whose girl friend referred to him as a 'rat a** n***a' in her Valentine day post, would be entitled to witness protection.
Tekashi acknowledged that he joined the 9 Trey Bloods in the fall of 2017 and assisted in its attempt to kill a rival gang member. He also identified a former associate, Kintea McKenzie, as the gunman in the attempted shooting of rapper,Chief Keef in June 2018.
In a related development,Boosie Badazz via a lengthy instagram post told 6ix9ine he would be killed less than a month after release if he was in Louisiana.
