According to TMZ, rapper Lil Wayne is suing his former attorney,Ronald Sweeney of swindling him of over $20 million while he was representing him.He is said to have not only charged Wayne 10% on all deals closed contrary to the industry standard of 5% when he represented him between 2005-2018,he also attempted to squeeze 10% off all Young Money records' profits.
Sweeney also solicited another law firm to help in Lil Wayne's case against Birdman and Universal Music with the firm getting 23% of the settlement money from Birdman and 15% of the money from Universal Music which is said to have cut an initial check of $10 million.All these percentages exclude Sweeney's 10% fee on all payments.
