Nicki Minaj has announced the withdrawal of the entire Young Money team from the BET experience show she was scheduled to headline alongside Cardi B.The female rapper well on the path to being the first female MC with 100 million records sold,felt disrespected by an article shortly after her arch-rival,Cardi B won Best Rap album at the Grammys.The since deleted article celebrating Cardi's historic feat came with the caption 'Meanwhile Nicki Minaj is still being dragged by her lacefront'.The 2 hottest female artistes are currently locked in a feud and had to be separated at an event last year.Both camps say the beef has been squashed but nothing public has suggested that.
Though label boss,Lil Wayne who is also scheduled to perform at the BET event, has not issued any statement regarding Young Money's withdrawal,it is thought that he has done so in solidarity with his artiste.
BET has issued a lengthy statement apologizing to the artiste and saying the caption wasn't authorized.It is left to be seen if that will change much.
